WildPackets AiroPeek 2.0

WildPackets AiroPeek is a professional 802.11 wireless network protocol analyzer built for real-time capture and in-depth analysis of Wi‑Fi traffic. Using supported adapters in monitor mode, it captures frames across channels and decodes 802.11 management, control, and data traffic to help diagnose connectivity, performance, and security issues.

Core capabilities include flexible capture and display filters, detailed packet decodes, per‑station and per‑access point statistics, channel utilization and error metrics, and an expert analysis engine that flags anomalies such as excessive retries or configuration problems. It can track conversations and flows, generate alarms and reports, and support tasks like site surveys, roaming analysis, and rogue device detection. When provided with the appropriate keys, it can decrypt WEP/WPA traffic for deeper inspection in accordance with policy. AiroPeek was widely used by network engineers for enterprise WLAN troubleshooting and security auditing, and later evolved into the OmniPeek product line.
